Trafford Housing Trust has
launched its new content-managed
website, developed by Connect Internet
Solutions.
Trafford Housing Trust took over the
ownership and management of Trafford
Council’s 10, 000 homes on 14th March
2005.
The the Trust will deliver £468.5
million of investment in homes and
services in Trafford over the next 30
years.
The new site is a major resource for
tenants, residents and stakeholders in
Trafford, providing up to date
information and encouraging tenant
participation. Groups and individuals
outside the authority may also find it
useful to learn about current issues
and as a method of sharing best
practice.

Connect Internet Solutions comments on
the site: “Trafford Housing Trust
wanted a functional, attractive and
easy to navigate site, so that
individuals can find the information
they want quickly. We delivered a
content-managed site that allows
Trafford Housing Trust staff to take
control of their content and provide a
better service to their tenants.”
The site supports the Trust’s key
strategies and includes information
such as job vacancies, contact
information, press releases and annual
reports, as well as offering online
access to tenant services.The site
also meets accessibility standards,
developed to level AA so that the site
is acessible to as many people as
possible, regardless of the way they
browse the web.
Matthew Gardiner, Chief Executive of
Trafford Housing Trust said: “We chose
to work with Connect because we want a
modern, robust site that will support
the values our business is based on.
“We are an honest, open and
approachable organisation and we
wanted a website that provided us with
a modern and user-friendly way of
showing we mean what we say. Connect
has delivered this for us.”
